Letter to Lou Dobbs - Fairness Doctrine 06_25_07
Dear Lou: I rejoiced when the fairness doctrine was revoked. My personal dilemma was this: If a TV Evangelist was aired for 30 mins, what constituted an opposing viewpoint? 30 Mins of: * Catholic viewpoints? * Atheist viewpoints? * The viewpoints of an opposing denomination? * Satanist viewpoints? (LaVey satanism was chartered in 1969) _sic_Wiki_now_reads_1966_ The Republican/Democrat dichotomy is not sufficient even to deal with political viewpoints since there is now a third party. 30 mins of Republican viewpoints beg for what rebuttal? 30 mins of * Democrat viewpoints? * Socialist viewpoints? * Communist viewpoints? (Russian, Chinese or American Communist Party Communism?) * Libertarian viewpoints? What about Republicans who disagree with each other? Lou: As long as Sweet, Salty and Sour exist, the so called 'fairness doctrine' is a lame idea. Regards, Robert B Johnson
