Boston Movement as a security entity.

Boston is publishing membership numbers, but the web site doesn't show the name of the replacement for Kip McKean. Seems like contact with these people leads to an irrevocable decision. Either you join them and become subject, OR they become a part of the world where you are not welcome. They document one location in Boston, and one in Los Angeles. Chicago, San Diego and Miami likewise document large numbers of members, but only one congregation each city. Montgomery, Alabama shows no congregation at all, but the University city of Auburn makes their list. I wonder what happens to an individual if this group decides to recommend him or her badly for employment. The numbers they are publishing don't dwarf "mainstream," in totum, but every congregation they claim seems huge (can't find a "Where the Saints Meet" web resource to show comparison, but membership of 20-200 is common, with more than one congregation in any given city.) The Boston web site isn't a good place to document recruitment practices. I imagine that as a cult they represent the death of discretion to security conscious organization. A senior prayer partner to whom you answer, is liable to find out about anything, with his senior prayer partner finding out about that, and so on leaking all the way back to the leadership. Non-cult members who have sensitive information have no incentive to trust cult members, and this can become a kind of GUN argument that brooks no disagreement; a witch hunt like any other. Mainstream (see exclusions) members fail in the benefits of cult membership, AND partake of the distrust due a prayer partner organization, with the attending stigma of reputation of a cult organization. It is difficult to know where the court of public opinion is held, but cult watch type web sites have some kind of audience. IF the Church controls information, "love bombs" and has a reporting structure, they meet several of the criteria for a cult by definition. IF these people defame character, THEN they should be taken to task. An investigation could target: pyramid scheme activity, tax evasion, and defamation of character. Would that cults themselves were illegal.
