Testimonials of broken lives - Boston has victims (originally 'failures.')
There is a website devoted to those who have come out of the Boston Movement called reveal.org. It has news that reflects the lot of those who leave the Boston Group. Other observers are spiritwatch.org and Joe and Louise Krainock. My observation from reading the link at "leave the Boston Group," was that the organization is parasitic in nature. It thrived on reconstructing host congregations at first, but now it is turning on itself with a sub-set of sold-out disciples (which I would guess to be similar to super apostles.) The inference is that the reporting structure wasn't thorough enough, it was to be watched from within by "sold-out disciples." By predicting a "next step," who will get ahead of the movement? The original Chuck Lucas group dis-associated from Boston early on. How did the cult aspect survive? This is intensely personal to me: this is preying on the body of people I know as non-denominational and the Lord's people. I will probably look for a copy of the article by Mary Geraghty on recruitment practices. This archival link is a mute argument that there is a conspiracy of silence. Infer that any large number of alcoholic, unemployed failures will have difficulty making a coherent case. This fight has (from another perspective,) taken place on University Campuses. What has happened to University Professors who have dis-agreed? The working Title of "Expelled" was "Crossroads!" (see Ben Stein's blog.) Why has there been no public debate on the existence of the God of these so-called sold-out disciples.
