Bathtub Reactor uses ceramic Pills to contain rediation
The Bathtub Reactor can be stored in a smaller NIMBY than most Nuclear power solutions. If we stagger production over time, we can replace them in future as they go offline. At that time, we can store them by drilling a hole 6 KM deep in the desert, and drilling spokes out from the hole. These things look pretty earthquake resistant. You probably could use one to power an electric MAC truck, but it might not work out so well if said MAC truck had a collision. I'll stick to agro-diesel for this kind of equipment. This doesn't disuade me from investigating fuel cell cars, although the price of fuel cells currently stands in our way. The bathtub reactor will compete on price with the Home based fuel cell, which we are using to bring the H2 economy online. In the mean time, we should use the bathtub reactor's container as a blue print for a ceramic pill to store extant nuclear waste, in new smaller NIMBYs in the desert.
