State Department 12_01_07 In re The Space race with China

*My letters to the State Department go to the public relations office of CIA* http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/space/11/26/china.space.race/index.html The CNN news-story doesn't list the chinese space budget, but... it's a tremendous r&d benefit to them if space dollars are worth spending at all (calculus of r&d benefit/dollar.) Do we want to compete head to head, or buy back 'sino-dollars' (my invented variable name similar to eurodollar) with materials and labor for them? Isn't it true that they plan to spend some trade surplus on it? I rate R&D, Education, Hollywood and Democracy as exports in this context. I'm fearful in the end analysis of cedeing that big an r&d plum to them. btw, religiously i view it as atheism trying to perform an exhaustive search of the universe for God.
