Denial of Service attacks - DOS 12_27_2007
Other countries are now using botnets of zombie PCs to organize DOS attacks on various sites here in the US. PRA of China and Russia both have army hackers working on this. Slashdot is just one potential target. I would like to collect ideas anyone reading may have on what sites are the juiciest potential targets. Hotmail, Yahoo, Google, Slashdot and DNS are all ideas I already know. I'll try to update this entry over time, with subject date updating. >Hotmail since it is the passport service for many online shoppers, google as a search engine balanced only by ask.com for example, Slashdot since it is an information clearinghouse. DNS for obvious reasons, Yahoo simply b/c it competes and is popular. Myspace and Namespace would be areas to spread viruses, as all P2P providers would be, but not subject to DOS attacks.
