A Constitutional North American Union
If NAFTA is to be used to bring in laws to which the US is to be subject, which affect the entire North American Continent, the we will have a Union that supercedes the Constitution. The Constitutional way to have a North American Union is to get Canada and Mexico to ratify the Constitution. It's humorous, but consider starting with Quebec. After that, the rest ought to be easy. Although we speak in jest, it is a fact that the President is sworn to defend the Constitution against all enemies both foreign and domestic. I guess that means I think NAFTA is the thin end of an unconstitutional wedge.
