Legal Satanism seeks to revoke tax exempt status.
There are at least three flavors of "Secular" Satanism. 1. The "dissatisfaction guaranteed" kind, which should be self-explanatory. 2. The "Resist No Evil" kind. 3. The Church of Satan (legal since 1966 because they have a charter,) kind. The first can be overcome by outperforming, and providing satisfaction. The second kind may be defeated by observing that the statute of limitations does not run out on murder. Having thought of murder, the Satanist must either resist the evil or commit murder. The first is legal, but saps his power, based on Jas 4:7. The second, of course is documentable. The third has a natural financial enemy. The Church of Satan has as a goal that it WILL REVOKE the tax free status of charitable institutions. The Catholic Church has more property in the US of A (or worldwide for that matter,) than any other religious organization, and does not necessarily want to pay taxes on it. As such, they have a vested interest in defeating legal Satanism at every turn. They may or may not (probably do not) know this. More on Satanism in a religious sense here. Magic is something that the legal Satanist cannot deny, IF he claims to have received any advantage from it. If he denies magic, it is their rule that he should lose all benefits derived from magic. This is self consistent with their legal stand that there is neither God nor Satan. There is no other source than magic of this so-called power, it is not regulatable, and it makes a great stonewall: How did that happen? Magic! Isa 5:20-23 may actually describe them better than any other verse, but it cannot be limited to any single religious group. In fact in its context, it speaks to a Jewish Nation.
