Intellectual Property Rights and Britney Spears (humor)
I(ntellectual) P(roperty) Rights are a murky subject, illuminated by a surprising source. Consider that the RIAA has made itself obnoxious by sueing end users for violating these ephemeral rights. Movie studios have a similar relationship with Screenwriters that Recording studios have with their Musicians. The example is of the Singer/songwriter Britney Spears. She is dating a paparrazo named Adnan. In this case she is in a unique position with him, to verify a similar relationship between Magazines and paparazzi. Here, Adnan can take a picture of Spears, and sell it. In this case, he gets paid, BUT SO DOES SHE, if intellectual property rights are properly adhered to. If the magazine is only taking a cut, she and her beau are in a position to verify how big a cut. My suspicion is that it is a smaller cut than either the Movie studios OR the RIAA are taking.
