Big Oil should re-invest more. (01/25/08?)
Big Oil is a place where we see the American dollar trapped. Big Oil is a responsible place for dollars, because they will not spend on consumer goods without profit. How do I know they need to re-invest more? There are oil drilling platforms that should be exploring the Jack Oil Field in the Gulf of Mexico, but are running full out elsewhere. This means there are not enough of these platforms in the world. To bring down the price of gasoline we could build more refineries with attending problems. This would result in addicting us to oil yet again. My suggestion is that Big Oil re-invest in green alternatives like clean coal and fuel cell research. Other than that? There is probably an actual niche market for luxury goods. If not, I would like to know where the money went myself :-)
