Leonhard Euler was a logician who believed in God.
Among Logicians, one of the most interesting is Leonhard Euler. Although it is spelled "yooler," it is pronounced "oiler." He lived in the 1700s and contributed to various fields of scientific endeavor as a mathematician. Among these was the "Euler Diagram." Euler diagrams are useful for analyzing spoken language into logical form. If a person differs from you on the correct meaning of a sentence, you can both draw an Euler Diagram of what you mean by it, and each see what the other has intended. Since Euler was a Lutheran by religious choice, the implied argument is that a rational person can believe in God. In fact the Lutherans commemorate him on their calendar of saints on May 24th.
